Frankly, i tink they are all mindless and senseless activities organised just to satisfy the sadistic minds of the seniors. Ok, they would most prob encourage and urge freshies to join the camp on the pretext of smoother assimilation and wider circle of friends...but really, underneath all the sugar coating is nothin more than nonsensical torture. Its a vicious cycle. The senoirs were tortured previously when they were freshies, therefore, now they have to get back and torture the freshies...and the cycle continues disguised as a tradition.

I for one condemn hall FOCs. I never joined a single one nor been in the committee of any too. Having been in 2 diff halls, and i still get along just fine. I'm not ostracised, nor outcasted. All that "they" say would happen to me if i DIDN'T join the camp did not happen as threatened. In fact, i get along just as happily as anyone of those who were "tortured". Hall FOCs is just a whole lot of crap tts all.
