Coke-fied

Yesterday's shopping trip was mayhem. Its like reliving the Siam days...only in Singapore! It didn't start off well with the coke fiasco. We each grabbed a bottle of FREE coke on the streets as they were handing them out and put it in our bags immediately. Little did we know that the caps were already OPENED. So our pretty white bags turned into "pitchers of Coke" (quoted from SpunkIce)! So, much time was spent emptying our bags off the coke and drying the coke drenched items in it. ARGHHHH!!

The Great Singapore Sale (GSS) is really every woman's Achilles Heel. It takes a lot to walk away from a great bargain.

I gotta steer clear of the "danger zones"...and not present myself in a compromising situation. My credit card is burning hot from all the swiping already.

Got myself a few dresses and tops. Best buy of the day: A sleek black halter neck dress from Guess.

I also got dearie a baby blue tee from Timberland too. Fits like a glove and it makes him look younger than 26 years old! This way he won't look like a pedophile and I won't look like I'm dating a Sugar Daddy.

No cell meeting this evening. The guys are in Thailand doing mission work. I'll probably head to a "safe" place this evening. The library.

The Shepard and his Sheep

If a picture is worth a thousand words, then how much is a word picture worth? Read John 10:11.

I had a debt I could not pay and He paid a debt He did not owe.

Thank you Jesus.

Onerous Honours

I'm still alive and kicking blogging. This can only mean that I have successfully graduated!! Not too bad considering I wasn't expecting any honours. I got myself a 2nd class honours. Praise the Lord!

My daddy is over the moon with my results. Perhaps its time to launch my 2nd attempt at getting him to buy me an iPod mini. Nevertheless, he has announced that we go for a sumptuous meal this coming weekend...ANYWHERE OF MY CHOICE!

Gym workout was great today. I focused mainly on cardio.

Treadmill: 20mins
Strider: 15mins
Rower: 15mins
Bike: 15mins
2 sets of strength training.

I hope I can keep up my routine this coming week. The reflection of me in the mirror is my greatest motivation.

A New Outlook

I did this new template practically from scratch. It's still a little "raw" and unpolished. Fine-tuning to be done over the next few days.

I'm so zonked out now. Minimal sleep last night/morning from the century's most exciting soccer match.

You will never walk alone

Enuff said. Results out later. I need rest...in case the need arises for me to climb outta my window and jump off the ledge.

Not drunk...just Merry

Went shopping in town with Mumzie today...I haven gone shopping with her for years!

Thronged mainly the household departments tho...Nevertheless I got myself a few steals!

Booked tickets for the play LovePuke. Its will be a blast with good reviews and also cos' coincidently SpunkIce booked tics for the same play and the same timing too! So it's gonna be the same Siam Kids again!

I was clearing my shelf .....when it dawned upon me that I'm becoming an alcoholic!

My latest addiction: Kahlua with Vodka.

This fridge magnet is such a detractor! I always have the original intention to just reach out for an ice cold skydew and it tempts me to do otherwise!

12th August - D Day

They called me up and served their writ.
The day to report for my sentence is on 12th August 2005.

It's earlier than expected.
My life has effectively been shortened by a month.

Good ol' Jelly

I went over to Baby's place for dinner. He's still down with the flu.

Glad his parents loved the no-colouring and no-artificial-flavouring jelly I made them. Not by choice, but cos' I couldn't figure out where my mummy put the colouring and flavouring.

Dearie was telling me that his parents hopes he settles down in 3-4 years time...that is when he is about 30.

Now he talking to me about saving up for marriage, wedding packages and the type and location of the house.

Well...As much as I would like to marry him one day...I'm not exactly ready for that day arriving so soon...at least not in 3-4 years time.

I love Siam

This will be a photoblog entry. We took over 300 plus photos...so I'll only be posting selectively. But be warned that it is one of my longest entry ever! So get yourself a cup of coffee or something and be back in a few minutes when it is completely loaded.

Day 1
Jetting off. From Left: Fudgey, SpunkIce, Baby and ME!

On board the meal-less flight
Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Reached our first destination, Jomtien Grand Palace Hotel, after a 2.5hrs ride in a bumpy old taxi.

The coastline of Jomtien Beach. Itching for some footsie?

Headed for some seafood which by the way was dirt cheap! The prawns were gigantic, the fish was very fresh, and the crab was succulent! We ordered so much that our table was so full and we got stares from the waitresses. They must be thinking we are one bunch of rich hungry kids!

Desert was flaming banana fritters with ice cream. It was amazing. We were simply awed with our jaws wide opened when they served up the fritters .

We went back for drinks in the hotel! In Thailand, the alcohol is as cheap as the mineral water. So no prizes for guessing which we bought in the end.

Day 2
Image hosted by Photobucket.com
It was a day at the pool ...chilling out with massage, suntan and lunch.

Then we hit the streets of Pattaya. Posing with Ronald.

And as the statues outside the cabriolet theatre!

Our last night in Jomtien. Presenting the Goddess of Gamblers.

Day 3

It was another 2.5 hrs ride back to the city.

The view from our new room.

Dinner at MBK was at this diner with bbq and steamboat on a dome shaped hot plate with a moat of water surrounding it as the steamboat. Seriously, Seoul Garden has a better invention with their flat hot plate and steamboat pot in the middle.

We hate pork LARD!

The hungry vultures.

The days might seem short in Bangkok but that's because I'm leaving out all the bits about shopping. It's a constant. 24/7. So, just bear in mind that whatever we are doing, we are ALWAYS shopping! Baby said we gals bought something every 200m of walking.

Night shopping was at Khao San. Nice place with many great odd finds and neat chill out places.

Day 4

Wholesale bargains at Pratunam. SpunkIce and me went crazy with the great deals. From belts to ethnic dresses and accessories....it was paradise.

We had to leave shortly after due to the guys' lamentations about the sweltering heat. The much needed break with air-conditioning at MacDonald's. Look at their zonked out expressions.

Note to readers: Pay close attention to Fudgey's attire from this day onwards. It never changes simply because it is the SAME piece of clothing that he wore for 3 days consecutively! EEwww!! Stinko Fudgey!

Dinner at World Trade Centre was originally planned for COCA, but they didn't have buffet so we settled for Sizzler.

It was as expected...Dirt cheap. Check out the prices!

The cagey gf who murdered her bf at the dinner table.

Night activities were hampered by the rain. Damn.

Day 5

Shopping venue for the day was Siam Square a.k.a Bonanza Plaza.

By this day the guys were already burnt out from all the shopping and carrying of our shopping bags.

Baby having his forty winks at A&W after a float. Fudgey was already kissing the table with his siesta.

See. Same shirt (2nd day). *Pinches nose*

We had COCA for dinner at Siam Center. The prices are unbelievably cheap. Each one of us paid only SGD5 for our meal which would have cost us at least S$20+ in Spore!

Day 6

Last minute shopping before the real deal begins tmw at Chatuchuk. We started the day with some massage. The girlies did foot massage while the boyz did the traditional Thai massage.

My masseur must have been a padi farmer or a thai boxer before her change of occupation as a foot massager. It hurts so much despite my incessant plea for her to be softer on my delicate fat legs!

We had lunch at the Tesco mall near our place. Baby is such a tv addict. So much so that he bought the hotel room's tv controller out in his pouch without realizing it! GOSH. It's the ultimate sign that he needs help for his addiction.

We were left with 30 Baht in the value card and we trust the boyz to get us some decent dessert. Look what they came back with....a Darth Vader mug with Sprite in it.

The Boyz with their Toyz. Same shirt on Fudgey(3rd day).

Dinner at MBK was an assortment of food from the food center. We packed back to our hotel to eat. I have never seen so much fresh mussels on one tray before!

It was our last night in Bangkok. All dressed up for the night of partying!

We planned the night for Sukhomvit, specifically the Bed Supper Club. Dumb me didn't bring my ID along!!!
We were kindda stranded that night cos' the roads were flooded.

Brown Sugar was so elusive, so we ended up at DoiTung. Poseurs for the night:

We bought more drinks on the way back with the intention to surprise Vanilla and Gan the Carlsberg World-of-Friends way. Indeed they got a shock of their lives when we appeared unannounced in front of their door!

Knowing full well they are not the drinking type we bought drinks for them and didn't give them any chance to reject!!

The night was jolly and we were all merry. Giggles all round....

Day 7

Our last day. Woke up bright and early for our day to Chatuchuk.

Drinks last night didn't do us well in the
morning.

The boys sure do look happy knowing that this is the last day of their shopping torture.

We were trudging along...and the heat is slowing us down...

The two self-professed Losers!

The boys' idol : Bruce Lee

The Mafia Gang leader or the truck driver?

Crazy antics at the airport en route home:

The infamous Porridge King pose!

The old school Speak No Evil, See No Evil and Hear no Evil

Star Wars fanatics

Satisfied Shoppers

Spoof of Vin Diesel's The Pacifier

As Michael Buble says...I'm coming home...

Happy Birthday Korz!!

We had dunch on Sunday to celebrate my brother's birthday and belated mother's day.

Its nice to come back home to my family. It feels warm and fuzzy inside me.

My parents look nicer in candid shots. When I count down to a photo shoot, my dad will always give a stern face at the count of 3. So what the heck. No counting down!

See how much more charming daddy looked with a natural smile!

Baby couldn't make it to join us cos' he is down with the flu. Serves him right for wearing singlet and boardshorts for the flight back home!

Movie screening with Fudgey tonight over at SpunkIce's place. We have a treasure trove of DVDs to watch. I'm boycotting the movie theatres...may they be damned with the worst and most vicious business cycle and be bankrupt!!! Bloodsuckers!

They are no different from the public transport operators. Somehow these idiots always have reasons for rationalizing their decision to increase prices but there is a stark dearth of reasons for reducing prices.

Bullocks!

Photos from Siam would be up only later...cos' I would be getting them from Fudgey this evening. Till den...chill to the beautiful weather!
