I will survive!
I'm still alive...barely though....
I had a US reporting and a SOX sign-off for my client in the past week. It's murderous and I'm glad its over.
Its been almost a month since I last blogged. And lots have happened of course. Sorry Fudgey a.k.a Mr SMU (haha...crowning you already!), but my goldfish memory can only contain that much.
Sustained yet another toe-bruise from netball training yesterday. I must schedule a foot reflex session soon....and a more long-term solution: to get a cross-trainers with a snugger fit.
But the bruised toe is the least of my concern this week. It is overshadowed by the 5 major bruises I have on both knees!
Got them from a Series of Unfortunate Events, namely @ the Zoo, from a vino session with the kolics, and from netball!
Its hideous and looks like I can't do without my dark stockings next week.
Lots of pictures from the past month. In no particular order and in a haphazardly random fashion:
NDP. My second parade....with the first being when I was still a toddler.
The past weekend had been a lot of feasting and tears. I had 3, and counting, farewell dinners and parties.
Sbeh headed to the west coast. It's sad...and demoralizing, but people do move on and I have learnt to embrace that fact and get on with life.
The most exquisite Japanese dinner I ever had. And lesson learnt: Never mix Asahi with Sakae.
Jlim's farewell:
I lurve the lobster spag @ Menotti's.
Teabreaks would never be the same again without you joyce....cos' no other senior would let us go off for such long tea breaks!!
KF and ZR's farewell:
The shrinking group from my batch. It is just slightly over a year we have been at the firm...and only half of us are left.
Dinner @ Village and wine @ Ice Cold.
All these farewells is making the whole mood so somber. Would it be me next?
On to happier transient moments: Community Day @ the Zoo!
It has been at least 16 years since I last went to the zoo. I was more excited than the kid I was accompanying that day! I was transfixed at the animal shows while my kid was falling asleep.
Don's pie for lunch with Shopaholic.
Its yummylicious!
SpunkIce and myself finally met up with our old friend. Stan the Man.
We had lunch @ New York New York (which sucks big time. Please do not go there.) and desserts @ NYDC (cos NYNY sucked).
There were lots of startling revelations.....mostly from the StanMan. I mean...how interesting can us underpaid corporate slaves be? There's no meaning to our lives. I speak for myself. Dunno abt SpunkIce tho...but of late, I'm feeling kindda bumped about this whole work thingy. I just can't see myself doing what I'm doing for the next 3 years. Its not only unfulfilling, it also doesn't pay well!
Ah well...enough moping...
It is a great week ahead. Flying off on Friday. Three course for the week. So its only a one day work week! WHOOOOTS!!
