HUAT!!
I'm collecting ang pows with a vengeance this year. Because it could possibly be my very last year of collection!
Its time to start accruing for the ang pows I've to give out in the near future.
This year's tally (minus the big ticket ones) is mediocre.... Looks like I've to rely on the stock market to perform well when it opens tmw....
And I've engaged in so much snacking during this CNY period that I think I've very well used up my snacking quota for the first half of 2008. I feel soooooooooooo unhealthy and I'm starting to have an aversion to bak kua.
The girls at my place.
We had a ball of time shouting (broken, directly-translated Chinese idioms) and tossing.
Pictionary was never that competitive!
We just sat around, sipped green tea (and wine for me...I think I'm going to admit myself into rehab one day), and simply just chatted and caught up with each other.
It was a simple, quiet and meaningful evening.

Tile shuffling with the kolics!
It was an intense mah-jong session with the inevitable office gossips. There's always a new discovery at every get-together. Am I so oblivious to the happenings around me, or am I so disconnected at my client's place that I'm always the last one to know stuff!?!
We had dinner at a Korean joint @ East Coast. I seldom eat Korean food because I'm not a fan of Kim Chi. But I'm a HUGE fan of the Korean BBQ!!! The black angus beef was ultra tender and juicy!
They've these really nifty Made-In-Korea hand towels in the form of little tablets (or "coins" as labelled)...which expands with water to form wet towels!
I'm easily amused.
The Twins and Edison. Heh...
Me: Shall we go have dinner at Black Angus one day?
HamSam: Why not let's just have beef hor-fun?
King of Spades
My bag has arrived just in time for CNY!! Many thanks to my church mate whom I shall not name because she likes to keep a secret identity due to her equally secretive work location. For convenience sake, I shall call her...Oillie (derived from the root word Oil...but Oily sounds gross).
I've been keeping myself very updated on Oillie's travelogue for obvious reasons.
But that's not to say I do not genuinely treasure our friendship and that I do really look forward Oillie's homecoming. She's my worthy opponent in scrabble and fellow queen of sarcasm.
Now that I've cleared the air and got that out of the way, let me rave about my bag!
Its not found in Singapore and its only available in the 5th Avenue store in NY. And but of cos, its in my favourite shade of brown. Not forgetting, it is a great deal because of the weak Greenback!
The smell of the leather is intoxicating and the feel of the soft distressed leather is simply heaven to touch.
Its the PERFECT size. Enough for a book, a vanity pouch, a bottle of water and the essentials....it might not be the IT bag of the season for Fash Hag, but it definitely is THE bag of 2008 thus far (at least till that someone makes a trip to Paris mid year).
I had my first salad tossing for CNY this evening with the church peeps. It was great fellowshipping with everyone. And surprisingly, there's no Monday blues for me this Sunday evening. Maybe because it would be a short work week coming up. I would have gladly taken the two and half days off if I could, but work is kindda hectic lately.
High tea with the girls last month at Merchant Court.
Why do I look so dark even with all the sunscreen I'm diligently putting on?
The Entourage is making its rounds on the third day of CNY. Its time to stock up on the wine and cheese girls!
