these days i'm spending most of my lazy hours reading Dilbert. Thanks to Lynn who reccomended that to me in the library when i was on the mission to borrow some useful self help books...NOT!But seriously, it is really quite funny. But only if you can catch it. Increases my predisposition to sarcasm...which i reckon is bad.
One reason i gather from my experience is that they tink ALL (which is a gross over-generalisation!)university graduates are nothin but employees with a slightly nicer paper than themselves. Like when i asked one of my collegues (remember Duckie from my previous entires?) about some stuff, this tot would cross her mind : Wah, university grad leh...also must ask me?!?!study so much for wat!?! What her little pea brain fail to understand is that some things come with experience. Like how would u expect a newcomer to know how to use the company's system to log in his/her timesheet?!?! I believe even a PHD holder would need help with that!!!! Its exasperating how they discriminate against the uni grads. PLS NOTE that i'm not discriminating against people who graduated form the poly, in fact it is those poly students who excel ultimately in the uni. Seriously they do!They always spoil the market with their EXTRA-ordinary projects! But hello!! dun give us hell next time in the working world out of jealously, inferiority or plain sour grapes!! sheesh
Met up with Sherrlynn at Ikea for dinner and LIGHT shopping. Never bought lesser things before. Only checked out wif a set of scented candles. We were just talking about work and all the politics in it. Sigh.....totally dread working for good when i graduate in a year's time. One perennial problem most interns, like myself, face is the hostility extended to us by some moroons in the company. Like what Joel Teng(i have to specify cos i kindda have many JOELs in my life) shared, most of the poly graduates hate us, the university graduate(or undergraduate in this case). I dunno why, but they seem to tink we will snatch them off their jobs one day.
