Endorphin-ed
The jog last night was great. I went alone. SpunkIce could not make it as she was engaged with work.
I love late night jogs. The air is clean, the roads are quiet, there are fewer pedestrians, and the sky is dark (DUH!). It is not common to find likeminded runners (runners who like running in the night) in the estate, unlike in hall where it is the norm to be heading out for a jog after 12am. SpunkIce and me do it all the time, with our "Sista". Scaling the hilly terrains of NanTah at 2am is one memory I can never forget.
Its 'a record for me last night. I covered about 2.5km. It has been a long time since I ran so much. Bear in mind I do not walk. I never walk in my runs. Not that I'm boasting but seriously, walking in a run (without a valid reason and fatigue is not a reason.) is akin to being ill-disciplined. I know many will beg to differ..so shoot me.
The only time I walked was during the 12km Army Half Marathon. My legs failed me then. I had no choice. But we were proud that we completed the WHOLE marathon..right SpunkIce???
Last night's timing was good...taking into account my age! Haaha...I clocked 18mins. This would have been ATROCIOUS back then when I was 14. I managed my 2.4km runs under 12mins then. See how creaky I have become!??
Perhaps I should get the two screws outta my knee. Maybe then I can be more lubricated flexible and shave off some minutes in my run.
It's been the second alternate day I have been running. I'm beginning to get addicted to running. Funny as it might sound, yes...I believe I'm.
I cannot study well if I do not go for my jogs. I know I have to put on my running shoes when I start to feel lethargic and irritated (especially with myself!). Irritated with how I'm so slow with my progress and how I'm eating so much (I'm in a foul mood when I feel fat. You are forewarned.)!!! ARGH...!!!
Its close to 12am now...and my legs are itching for a jog...Should I risk getting raped or kidnapped by the Banglas just for that dose of endorphin?
