Sleepy Sunday

I do not know what came over me but I had a disgustingly copious amount of sleep the whole day. So not much work was done today.

I do not even know why I bothered planning a timetable. I can never seem to keep up with it.
I vaguely remembered making a mental note to myself last semester that I should do away with planning a study timetable because it only adds unnecessary stress!

Happy 22nd Birthday Verlyna!!

I had a wonderful time catching up with the girls yesterday.

It was FULL attendance. All the Secret Seven of us were present.
So apart from all the photo frenzy, we had serious talks. About working life and job hunts, about monogamy (or more specifically marriage), savings and investment options, traveling blah blah black sheep.

Noticeably missing are talks about school work, latest shopping buys, sales, infatuations, and any other pubescent teenage topics.

DareVurls expressed her views on relationships and marriage. She's the only one working amongst us. She's been working for about 2 yrs. So she would be the one with the wealth of working experience.

That would also mean she's the most jaded amongst us. To her, out of 10 guys, 11 guys are bad. She brought up a lot of issues that got some of us rather disturbed. We listened wide-eyed, with disbelieving amazement. I would not be mentioning specifically what she said.

But my point of view is: if there is God in us, with us, and at the centre of the relationship, things would work out. Call me naïve or simplistic, but I call it Faith.

So Spunkie, don't lose hope yah. Hope to see you in church with Fudgey soon!

Onto a lighter note. The as-promised food review. I’m no food connoisseur, so do not take my words too seriously.

The prices are rather reasonable. The set lunch is really worth it. The pastas are scrumptious and the serving is generous too. I could not finish my portion and Vanilla was saying the portion has got to be really big then. I am the benchmark and that's sad.

I had Fettuccine with some kindda special cream sauce. I could not remember what is it called exactly. But its nice. Unlike some cabonara which tends to be too heavy and makes you want to puke after one too many mouthfuls, this fettuccine has just the right amount of richness.

The downside is that there aren't many choices of main courses. Mainly pastas and some risottos. About less than 10 types. Surprisingly, they do not have pizzas too. So, much of the menu offered pastries, coffees, tea, wine and gelatos.

The pastries we ordered. They are simply delectable!

I would go back there again...probably just to chill out with good company over wine.

DareVurls zipped us to town to check out some lingerie. We were acting silly in the jungle of expensive inner wear at Tangs' Dressing Room. The mannequins are so life-like! Me and Cutesy Pie decided to play Mannequin too!
