All In A Day's Work
I had a good rest over the long weekend. Thankfully, I wasn't called back to work on any of those days...my senior was nice enough.
Recap of the prior week:
Tues: We surprised Vanilla @ her hall on her birthday. Despite speaking in Morse Codes with Gan to coordinate the whole surprise, she still smelt a rat! Darn!!
But she was still moved to tears. Awwwww....
Will post the pics when I actually get them....
Vanilla > Pls send me the pics!!
Friday: Attended the 9am Traditional Good Friday service!!! Haven sung hymns for a while.
We headed to town for brunch....it was the earliest I have ever been in town for a long time....the shops weren't even opened yet. Baby was so tired that he slept in the midst of reading drooling over a Torque magazine at Starbucks. How he manages enter Slumber Land with a double espresso baffles me.
Saturday: Tried re-formatting my comp....But I took a whole day just to back up my stuff (songs, pics, videos, documents etc.). I hate re-formatting!
But since my finances are rather tight, it does not permit me to splurge on a new lappie. The cheaper alternative would be a re-formatting of my old one.
Sunday: Attended the 11am service. We couldn't make it for the 6am Sunrise service. *yawns*
It was a rather touching service with a very powerful testimonial and many accepted Christ. PTL!
Went for a swim with baby...but *surprise surprise* it started to pour shortly after.
Went back and continued with Operation Re-format. And the result as at today (Mon 1:35 pm) : Incomplete.
The moment I logged on after the first re-format, I was bombarded with all sort of worms, horses and what not. @#$%% WHY ARE PEOPLE SO EVIL THESE DAYS!!!?!!?
So, this evening when I'm back, I will be attempting to continue with Operation Re-format AGAIN. And this time, I will install my S$78 (!!!!!) Anti-virus suite prior to logging on to the Evil Web. It takes lots of skill actually. Like a chicken and egg thing, I have to log on to the Evil Web to register my anti virus before it takes effect, and within that short span of time, all sorts of damn virus will attack my poor lappie like a locust plague! Not to mention the time needed to get the Windows update and firewall set up.
Perhaps I should do a dry run to really familiarise myself with the steps. Yah....I will.
Oh well....back to work. My lunch siesta is up.
